Growth…
Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
~Viktor Frankl
Atelier Counseling & Psychotherapy PLLC is a private psychotherapy practice providing individual and group therapeutic services for adolescents and adults. Our mission is dedicated to helping our clients make serious changes and maintain these changes in their lives. We work together to create a safe environment within the therapeutic relationship to explore difficult and painful patterns, beliefs, and behaviors.
The decision to seek therapy is often difficult. Often the first hurdle is to acknowledge you have a problem (communicating, difficult patterns in relationships, setting and keeping boundaries) and need to have someone work through these issues. It is important to know you can leave therapy if it doesn’t feel right or collaborate with your therapist to create a plan that meets your needs. The second hurdle, sometimes looks like this “problem” is only present sometimes or in certain kinds of relationships. As an example, one may struggle at work. Many of my clients present as overachievers, when they seek help they are overwhelmed and depleted. Often they can maintain good friendships but haven’t been able to find a partner. Past relationships have been sacrificed for their careers. In other words, boundaries. Neglecting themselves because so much of their worth comes from what they do.
The men, women, and adolescents seeking care may be interested in healing from:
Depression/Anxiety
Trauma
Childhood and Developmental Trauma
PTSD
Abuse in Relationships (family or partner)
Relationship Issues
Grief and Loss
Addiction
Chronic Illness
Family and Relationship Issues
Our Services
Atelier Counseling & Psychotherapy PLLC provides individual and group counseling services. Individual counseling is a great way to work through personal issues and make important changes. Services range from short-term counseling to long-term psychotherapy. Traditional talk therapy along with other therapeutic models, such as somatic experiencing, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and EMDR. Groups are periodic and require a minimum number of participants. They are typically 5-8 individuals. This is a good fit for individuals who want to work through changes and benefit from the cohesion and support of a group.
